ABOUT
Denise has shown an interest in the arts since the age of five, after she discovered her mother’s lipstick and was found “decorating” a few walls at home. Since then, she has graduated to acrylic, watercolor, and charcoal as her favorite mediums.
After high school, she transitioned from art to architecture at Syracuse University, eventually launching her career in architecture & interior design in Washington, D.C.
Fast forward to September 2019, Denise goes hiking and severely fractures her foot after slipping off a cliff. Her decreased level of activity while recovering prompted a revival of her once-loved sedentary hobby.
When she’s not painting, she’s playing tennis, practicing yoga, throwing pottery, or trying to talk herself into getting a dog. She is based out of both San Francisco and D.C.
